Emotionally Constipated (2025)

Walnut varnished wood, plaster, colour pigment, oil paint

I don’t understand this feeling –

The grip,

It holds,

It etches, deepens.

I try to comprehend this feeling,

To trace,

Its face,

And know its name.

But the thought of it is weakening.

Can I get out of this feeling?

To soar above its head,

And crawl below its trail,

Escape its shadow,

And hide behind a shade.

This feeling-

It’s tingling,

Screaming,

Staining-

A bone stuck in my throat,

A yell just beneath my tongue.

It tries to escape,

A word it yells-

A cry for-

help.
